The European conference about cost-effective options that prioritize transparency, adaptability, and European sovereignty.
Eindhoven, Stadslab Eindhoven | Friday, 11 September 2026
Why Attend?
Discover alternative, independent, and GDPR-compliant software solutions tailored for European institutions, schools, businesses, and governments. Break free from the dominance of a few global players and explore open-source, niche, and cost-effective options that prioritize transparency, adaptability, and European sovereignty.
Highlights
- Keynotes: Hear from government representatives on the future of digital independence.
- Case Studies: Real-world examples of off-grid and open-source school setups (e.g., Engineers Without Borders & eduard.dk in Sierra Leone).
- Expert Insights:
- Analysis of software costs and usage across education and public sectors.
- A European SME’s journey in breaking into public systems—challenges and opportunities.
- Deep dive into niche software (analytical tools, LMMs, lab/maker space solutions) and alternatives.
- Hands-On: Test mixed software systems, engage with users, and share experiences.
- Networking: Connect with European producers, users, and innovators from across the EU.
- Workshops & Seminars: Practical sessions for users, admins, and decision-makers.
Why It Matters
Current market leaders (Microsoft, Google, Apple, etc.) offer powerful tools — but are they the best fit for Europe’s unique needs? European alternatives are open, specialized, GDPR-compliant, rugged, and often cheaper, free from external pressures.
Who Should Join?
• Partners & Funders: Invest in the next wave of European digital innovation.
• Speakers: Share your expertise and shape the conversation.
• Public Sector & Educators: Explore sovereign, adaptable, and cost-effective solutions.
• Developers & Makers: Showcase, learn, and collaborate on European-made software.
Be part of the movement toward a more independent, transparent, and tailored digital future for Europe.
