2-d Plotter/ Drawing Robot
Our first project is a 2D plotter, created by Simen Elserman as a final project for high school. This robot can draw pictures after they have been manually converted into readable vectors. The second project is a robotic arm that can pick up and move various objects. In addition to the hardware, we want to program the robotic arm to pick up objects independently without manual control.
Maker Mates (Geen officieel bedrijf, niet ingeschreven bij KVK. Dit gaat ook niet gebeuren in de tussentijd)
Simen Elserman grew up in a tech-filled environment. He has been going to various maker fairs around the world since he was 6 years old. It is therefore no surprise that he has become a passionate maker. Simen enjoys working with different disciplines, from making jewelry to building complete robots. No project is too crazy for him. As a child he created a Nerf Turret and a crank, among other things. Later he made a Norwegian throwing axe, deck boxes, and performed numerous modifications on various objects. He has also made many swords and shields for his other hobbies. Simen has extensive expertise in 3D design and a knowledge of materials and fabrics. Jonah Jimmink has been curious about how things work and how he can make them work since he was a kid. Despite not having much of a technical background at home, he started building his own workshop and expanding his knowledge. Jonah specializes in programming and fine electrical engineering. Simen and Jonah met in high school and quickly discovered their shared passion for making. What started as a friendship grew into a fruitful collaboration. Together they have realized several projects, such as building a soapbox, making a robot arm and a knife polisher. As a team they call themselves the Maker Mates. The boys have ambitious plans for the future and plan to start and complete many more projects together. By working together, they hope to further expand their experience and knowledge in the field.
