Balancing robots
All around us we see all kinds of robots, in many different designs. We have built robots that stand on two wheels and can balance themselves. With a remote control you can control the robots and try to pick up a (tennis) ball and shoot it into the goal. It takes some practice to drive across the field at high speed but sufficient control, and pick up the ball. Furthermore, you can see how the robot is built and learn how to make one yourself.

The creators are active within Robot Sports, a robot soccer team participating in the international RoboCup initiative. The idea of the balancing robot comes from Wouter Klop, who also has his own booth. Work is currently underway on both smaller balancing robots that are even cheaper to make, as well as larger ones that might be able to compete with Robot Sports' other robots in RoboCup's so-called Mid Size League.
