Petra Mestrom is a former teacher and designed the Greenscreenbox to get children and young people working with media in a creative way. In 2021, she received the Best Innovation Award during the Maker Faire Eindhoven. What started as a practical solution to a problem she encountered has now become an increasingly well-known product in the Netherlands and several European countries. Meanwhile, in addition to the Greenscreenbox, Petra has launched her own software, so that making greenscreen recordings has become even easier and accessible to everyone. She has also created a large collection of teaching materials for primary and secondary schools to support teachers in using greenscreen technology in their lessons. Petra is committed to future-proof education where children can develop their creativity, digital skills and strengthen their language skills.
