LEGO Great Ball Contraptions
Meet LEGO Great Ball Contraptions (GBCs for short). These fully automated ball contraptions are made from an official LEGO set. Balls move from left to right, up and down in the most fascinating way possible. In addition to being beautiful and impressive to watch, it is also incredibly educational to get started with them yourself. And you can! With our construction drawings you can get started yourself. At our booth you can build your own GBC.
Philip Verbeek
Philip Verbeek is an enthusiastic techie who loves to share his passion for engineering with others. To awaken the younger generations' interest in technology, Philip has been making LEGO Great Ball Contraptions for over 10 years. Anyone can recreate these themselves using his construction drawings. These automatic LEGO marble tracks contain clever techniques and fascinating mechanisms that ultimately ensure that LEGO balls are automatically transported from A to B. This technique goes much further than the standard LEGO Technic sets and this therefore gives a whole new dimension to building with LEGO Technic. Bringing young people into contact with technology in a playful way and awakening their enthusiasm for technology really gives a kick!
