Limbic: AI that moves & feels
Reckon. is building moving AI at Strijp-S: installations that listen, talk back, and physically react to what you say and feel. At Maker Days, you can hear this in PIM, a classic telephone that talks to you, feel it in a closed wooden box that knocks back, resists when you tilt it, and talks when you tap, and see it on the dashboard behind the scenes where call data comes in live.
Reckon.Works
Reckon. is an AI studio at Strijp-S in Eindhoven. We build AI that moves: experiences, objects, and spaces that listen, talk back, and respond to your voice, hands, and facial expressions. We call this imagineering: imagination and technology combined, powered by Reckon Limbic, the emotional brain that reads your facial expressions and responds subtly. Privacy-friendly: the emotion is recognized on the device itself, without any image or identity being stored. It is about story, behavior, and craftsmanship in a single experience—something you talk to and push back, literally or in your head. We build for places where you are with others: museums, theaters, public spaces. Such encounters yield valuable data: voice, image, emotion, and interaction combine to provide insight for the location.
