Quentin Thomas-Oliver is a classically trained professional musician with a love for industrial music. After years of not being able to find just the right drummer for his performance project, Ponytrap, Quentin decided to build one, along with his wife and partner, Hilary. Their creation, MAX is a battery powered drum monster that can read music and play anything you can write down. They've been building robots for more than 10 years, and this particular version took about a year to create. Quentin and Hilary have traveled throughout the United States (Texas, New York, California, and more) with their project and are now based in Maastricht, the Netherlands, having already brought Ponytrap to several European countries as well! (Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Czech Republic) Ponytrap is Quentin's passion and profession – We will bring a unique and memorable installation to this event that no one will forget!
