Robotic sculptures
Jelle de Graaf loves to share. For his sculptures, he uses material he finds on the street, randomly on the roadside or at businesses. "The city is a gold mine, I get my stuff from everywhere."
Jelle de Graaf
The Enschede-based artist is known for his creations made from waste materials. For example, he is the creator of the giant robot Metropolis on Enschede's Stationsplein, the immense ice palace in winter on that same square and the dragon standing in front of the former Tubantia building. All made from discarded materials. "I often go to demolition with a concrete idea and nine times out of ten I come back with all kinds of different products." (Indebuurt)
