With LEAF & LOOM, I present sustainable, ecologically printed textile art. I transform fabrics such as silk and cotton into unique artworks using natural dyes from leaves, flowers, and avocado pits. During the Maker Days, I demonstrate this 'slow art' process live. Visitors discover the magic of botanical dyeing and experience how I create a soothing, sensory connection with nature through circular principles.

I am Nihan Elmaci Basaran, textile artist and the proud, sole maker behind LEAF & LOOM. My work stems from a deep passion for sustainability, the circular economy, and 'slow art'. I specialize in vegan textile art and use eco-printing techniques to capture the beauty of nature. In my work and the workshops I give, "mindful making" is central: I invite people to slow down and reconnect with nature through their senses.
